The Matsapha International Airport (IATA Designator MTS), which is located close to the city of Manzini in Swaziland, will close to all civilian flights including all regional and international air traffic on 29 September 2014.
All Airlink flights to and from Swaziland will, from Tuesday 30 September 2014, operate at Sikhuphe’s - King Mswati the Third international airport (KM3 - IATA Designator SHO).
Car hire facilities for passenger use will be available at King Mswati the Third international airport, with Avis and Europecar represented.
The Swaziland Civil Aviation Authority (SWACAA) will be providing a shuttle bus service for passengers wishing to travel between Sikhuphe and the Matsapha Airport near Manzini.
King Mswati the Third international airport is located 70km from Mbabane, the capital city of Swaziland. The airport incorporates a 7,000 m2 passenger terminal designed to handle and process 300 passengers per hour and has been planned to accommodate the projected future air passenger and cargo demands of the region. The terminal incorporates domestic and international passenger facilities, a VIP passenger lounge and air navigation services, together with all associated ground handling and airport operations equipment.

An early morning late afternoon service for business passengers, with a midmorning flight into and mid-afternoon flight from SHO to cater for the needs of international and regional connecting passengers. Passengers already ticketed on Airlink’s services to Matsapa will be re-accommodated on the Sikhuphe schedule.
